Lot #13
Pore Li'l Mose
Pore Li'l Mose was R. F. Outcault's great black comic character whose popularity was greatest in 1901-1902. The newspaper art was reproduced on quality paper, printed only on one side, and was published as one of the early oblong reprint comic books. Moisture has made the page a little wavy but it would barely show if you framed it. The book is very rare and pages are very rare.
$35

Tige--His Story

Lot #14
Tige--His Story
One of three 8"x10" hardcover Buster Brown books written and drawn by R. F. Outcault. All of the interior art is black+white but images range from fairly small to full page illustrations. This copy is a solid VG showing a little wear at the corners or it would be in Fine condition. A nice dated inscription on the first page indicates that this book was a 1905 Christmas present for some lucky child. This book is priced to sell at $150.
